You thinking what I'm thinking?

Well this has been a crazy week. A storm cell decided to form right over our office on Monday and pour down rain non-stop for just under an hour. Because it had been lightly raining on and off all day there was nowhere for the water to go except in our parking lot. We were standing at the window watching it rain and it came up so fast, we did not even have time to move our cars before it was up over the bottom of our doors.

This is the view from inside our office...looking out the front door.

I took this one while we were waiting for the water to go down so we could get in our cars and see the damage.

This is normally a driveway behind our building, but Monday it was a waterfall.

Good thing the trailor was attached to the truck because it kept trying to float away.

This poor car did start floating.

We drove my car home, but it was towed from my house the next day. I hope to hear more information soon. I guess I need to start looking for a new car. My poor car only had 3 payments left.

I got some of Adleigh's baby bedding in this week. It was only a pillow and a sheet, but is made it more real. I don't know who was more excited, Asher or Mommy. Adleigh is still moving all the time and getting much stronger. My next appt is October 5th. I love going to the doctor (beside the weighing in part), so I can measure her and hear her heartbeat. I will be in my 3rd trimester on Friday. Yippy! That means my appointments will start being every 2-3 weeks instead of 4 week.

Let's set the scene....Jacob and I took Asher to gymnastics last night. Then we went to eat. We were on our way home, all in a good mood and happy to have a great family evening together. Asher is asking for Jacob to turn on the Awesome God song, as always, when out of no where Asher asks, "Daddy, you thinking what I'm thinking?" We all just started laughing. Then it became a big joke and Asher kept asking over and over again, "You thinking what I'm thinking?" Where does she get these things?!?!

  1. That flooding is unbelievable! I can't believe it did that in such a short amount of time. That is too bad about your vehicle, but at least you were in a safe, dry place while it was all coming down. Craziness!
