Planning has begun for Adleigh's 1st Birthday!

I'm very bothered that I have started the planning of my baby's 1st birthday party! I think I was so excited with Asher's, but this time I am so sad. Adleigh is my baby. She can't already be 10 1/2 months old and trying to walk. She can say so many names/words, get everywhere so quickly, and into trouble so fast! Her favorite thing to do is to either unplug my smell good Glad PlugIns or to crawl up to Asher's little table while she is eating and grab her drink and pour it on the floor. She thinks it is so funny!

We have had to start spanking her little hand. Some times she completely ignores us and other times she will just start balling for about 3 seconds and then turn it off like a light switch ... she learns that from Asher!

Adleigh's party is officially going to be Tuesday, December 14th (her actually first birthday)!!! I've ordered a big cake and everyone is invited. After about a month of searching for 1st birthday themes I have finally picked the one I want. It was so hard to pick one. I really wanted one that actually said "1st Birthday". There are so many "baby" themes and "princess" themes. Adleigh has her whole youth to have princess themes. I really wanted a "big/little girl theme" and I think I found the perfect middle grounds. It is called "1st Birthday Zoo Party Pink". It is adorable. I found it online and did a search to see if I could find an outlet store to get it cheaper and I totally lucked out. One of my new favorite websites is http://www.birthdaydirect.com/ I ordered 12 items yesterday at lunch, ranging from plates and napkins to thank you cards and a banner. I got them in the mail this morning!!! Less than 24 hours. I was so excited to get it this morning and get to look at and show off all the party supplies. I've attached some pictures.

(Don't ask me why the napkins are sideways...my pictures aren't sideways. The plate picture worked. Crazy!)

Adleigh Walking with Training Wheels!

Adleigh has been walking along furniture and while holding our hands while walking for a few weeks. I've tried to get her to walk with her little walk along but haven't had much success until last night. Adleigh just grabbed on and took off. Jacob and I just stood there stunned about what we had just seen. Adleigh was so proud of herself!!! Here is a video of what I like to call "Adleigh walking with training wheels!".

It won't be long and she won't need her "training wheels". I remember Asher's 1st steps like they were yesterday. Asher grabbed the same little walk along toy and took off. I grabbed the video camera and we took the walk along toy away from Asher and she just took off on her own. She never looked back and never stopped! Adleigh isn't quite to that point yet, but by Thanksgiving we will be chasing her down the hall! :)

Oh how I love my girls!!! :)

Adleigh gets into EVERTHING!!!

She loves shoes....
and things with buttons...

more buttons....

everywhere she can climb...
She is such a mess! :)

Adleigh's window!

I had mentioned in a previous post about Adleigh's window. She loves to play under the table and look at the window. Asher likes to get under there with her, but I have not been able to get pictures of both of them together because one and/or both catch me with the camera and the moment is ruined. Well Granny Janny has been trying too and she caught the moment. Here is Asher reading to Adleigh. Thank you Granny Janny!!!

Asher's 5th Birthday Party!!!

Asher has really been wanting a big birthday party. We decided her 5th birthday would be a great time to have her 1st big "kids" birthday party. We invited all the kids in her class and friends from gymnastics, church, etc. Unfortunately, it poured down rain all night and all morning, so everyone assumed it was canceled. Only three kids showed up. So that means after tons of planning and money spent on food and decorations, we hardly used any of it...BUT, it was a great intimate birthday party and they all had so much fun!!! Asher thanked me all afternoon for her birthday party. She said it was the most fun she had ever had. That made it all worth it! It turned out to be an absolutely beautiful afternoon (as you will see in the pictures).
She always has to make silly faces in some of her photos!

Going to school as a 5 year old!

I can not believe my baby girl is such a big girl. She is so excited to be five. We were comparing pictures of her just one year ago and it is amazing how much she has grown. She is now such a big girl. She is so smart. Her teachers says she can always be assured that Asher has an answer to every question she asks. :)
