Well it is Sunday night. I really enjoyed my Thanksgiving Break. I feel like I haven't been to work in forever. And tomorrow I just have to work till three, so it will feel like a short day. Yippy!
Thanksgiving was great! It was awesome to spend time with Dad. He is doing better every day and that is great to see. I know it is still really hard for him. I still have days that I get upset too...especially when I think of how excited G-ma was to meet Adleigh and how her face would light up when I would bring Asher over to visit. She loved my girls so much! I still think the hardest for me is going to be Christmas Eve and Easter. I don't remember very many Christmas and Easters not being at G-ma's house. Going to Children's mass and then to G-ma's house for dinner and presents...Or her whole house smelling like vinegar at Easter because we would dye so many Easter eggs the night before. Precious memories!
We ate at G-ma's house on Thursday. Everyone brought stuff...it was delicious! We all pigged out (I'm not looking forward to weighing in at my next appt). After lunch we all visited for a while and then Jacob, Asher and I went to Dad's house for a nap. Jacob had to work that night, Asher just needed one and I can always use a nap...especially a good one with my husband (they don't happen too often). After the awesome nap, Jacob headed back to Jonesboro to go to work. Katie took Asher to the playground. I met up with them. Katie got some really good pictures of us. As soon as I can get those from her, I will post them.
Friday was of course Black Friday. Asher did not go to bed till after 10pm the night before, but was up around 5:45am. Joe and Katie went around 7am, but I did not want to fight the crowds. By 9am, I was bored, so Katie, Asher and I ended up going to Wal-Mart. I got a couple good deals, so I was glad I went. Little did I know, but Jacob got off work early that morning and he went shopping at Best Buy that morning. NOT a good thing. Jacob is very dangerous in Best Buy, especially when they have good deals. He had to tell me how much he spent, since he doesn't pay the bills or know much about our finances, but I don't know what all he got. I'm a little nervous. He says it is for the family. It better be good for how much he spent!!!
That afternoon, Asher & I headed back to Jonesboro so we coulde wake Jacob up and get some house work done. We worked on our living room all day...it was full of important papers, extra furniture, pictures, etc (things that were in the office that we needed to keep, but had to reorganized before it could go in the attic). So poor Jacob was moving stuff up in the attic all afternoon and bringing baby stuff and some Christmas things back down.
Saturday, we continued our work from Friday. Jacob took apart all Asher's old things; swing, bouncy seat, car seat, etc, so I could wash them all. My house is starting to look like a baby is coming!!!
When Jacob got off work this morning, we went to Church, class and then brunch. Jacob went off to bed and Asher and I got to business in Adleigh's room. We did three loads of laundry from her room: 1) blankets, sheets, etc 2) towels, diaper rags, wash clothes 3) tons of baby clothes (and I only did the newborn, 0-3 months and 3-6 month clothes). We organized alot of things in baskets and the closets, made Adleigh's bed. In the next couple days, I hope to hang some pictures and then her room will look so good! It would look better if my crib skirt and bumper would hurry and come in. I called Target today, but it is still on back order. It is very frustrating. They told me 2-4 weeks, but it has been almost 3 months.
I have a doctor's appt tomorrow. I'm excited! I hope everything is still good. I hope the doctor sees how uncomfortable I am and says lets enduce early. I don't want to have Adleigh this week, but it would make me feel better if he would just say we might enduce early. Last week was the first time he would even talk about it. Asher has been begging to go to the appt with us, but I think he may start "checking" me now, and Asher doesn't need to be there for that. Speaking of the devil. I just finished a bowl of oatmeal for dinner. Adleigh must like it because she is going crazy and has the hiccups. My laptop keeps jerking every couple of seconds. :)
