Oh my! Ever since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to be a Mommy! I just knew I was suppose to have children to love and teach. BUT, if I would have known how hard having two kids would be...whew! hehe...just kidding!
I love both of my angels. They are such a blessing! They keep me so busy, I hardly have time to update family on how we are all doing. So here is a quick update:
Asher amazes me everyday. She is so smart. She can remember things and details from forever ago, but can't remember what I told her to do 5 minutes ago if it is something she doesn't want to do. She has been having some trouble with her tummy lately. I'm not sure what the deal is, but she spends a lot of time just sitting in the restroom. She also has a cough and runny nose we can't seem to get rid of. She's just falling apart!
She still loves being a big sister. She loves to hold her, help feed her, dress her, etc. She has been practicing her letters a lot lately. I'm impressed that she asks how to spell something. I will tell her the letters and she can write the word out, without seeing the word. She came into the bathroom today, while I was taking a shower. She said, "Granny Jan just called so I answered it and you need to call her when you get out of the shower." I asked her how she knew it was Granny Jan. Her response, "Because it said Granny Jan on your phone, Mommy!"
I signed my "Big Baby Girl" up for T-ball this week. I can't believe she is big enough to play. She is so excited. She asked to play last year, but wasn't old enough. When I saw our church was forming a team, I asked Asher if she still wanted to play. She was so excited to play with her church friends and I was glad she would have a good, Christian coach (that Asher already know and trusts because he teaches her Sunday night class). Unfortunately, they don't start playing until the end of April...and Asher is driving me nuts asking everyday if she can go play T-ball. She will look so cute in her little uniform. I can't wait to record her first game. hehe :)
Adleigh is growing like a weed. I am so lucky that she is really getting to be a very happy and good baby. If she cries it is because something is wrong. I will change her, feed her, whatever she needs and then she is happy again. She is at a great age. She is really starting to coo. It is precious to hear her little voice. She is smiling a lot more. That dimple is really starting to show! I can't believe she will be 12 weeks old on Monday!!! My baby is growing way to fast. Sometimes I just sit and stare at her because I realize she will be a big girl before you know it. I just have to take in the memories of her little hands and feet, huge cheekers, and big beautiful blue eyes!
Jacob is FINALLY done with his extra Wednesday night shifts. That was the most awful month and a half! When he gets home on Mondays, he usually sleeps till 4ish so he can sleep that night with the rest of us. That helps him get back on days. Well since he was working Wednesday nights, he never was getting his days and night straight. He was always tired...and watching Adleigh Monday through Friday made it even harder on him. With that all being so hard on him, made it really hard on me because I haven't gotten any help on chores around the house. I hope that Jacob can catch up on sleep and back to his regular schedule so he can in the very near future remember how to load the dishwasher. hehe!
I'm good. My hormones are still getting back to normal and I've started to lose my hair. I did it real bad after having Asher. So far it isn't as bad as last time, but still not fun. I've been working out a lot lately. I appreciate so much Jacob making sacrifices so I can go to the gym. I think he knows how important it is to me to loose my baby weight. It is definitely harder after the second child. I just hope I fit into my dress for Katie's wedding (in less than 7 weeks). I've been pretty busy with Katie's wedding stuff. She has had several showers. As Matron of Honor, I've been going to all the showers, helping with last minute planning and finishing up things like invitations. I can't believe my baby sister is getting married in just a few more weeks. Asher is going to look so cute in her flower girl dress. She talks about it all the time.
Well that is a quick run down. We are all surviving. :)
